What Does It Cost to Build an App in Nigeria?

A website has a price you can guess. An app does not, and that is why so many app projects fail before they start.

Those are honest 2026 numbers for work that will still be running in three years.

The four features that double a quote

Payments. The moment money moves, you need testing you did not need before, records you must keep, and a rule for what happens when a payment half succeeds. This is never the small job people expect.

Accounts. Sign up, sign in, forgotten password, changed email, deleted account. Five screens nobody puts in the brief, all of which have to work.

Admin. Somebody in your business has to see and change what is in the app. That admin area is often as much work as the app itself, and it is almost always left out of the first quote.

Two platforms. Android and iPhone. Whether that doubles the cost depends entirely on how it is built, and you should ask that question before you sign.

What to do about it

Build the smallest version that a real person would pay for. Ship it. Then let real use tell you what to build next.
